IMPORTANT NOTE: If you require copyediting or more specialized services, we recommend you choose a professional editor who is certified in copyediting. Our services are specifically designed for independent authors who want basic 3rd party review of their materials. We make no claims to specializing in professional editing. Please consider us "another eye" for your work, and therefore our prices are designed to be appropriate for this level of service.

Basic Editing: an editor will proofread your manuscript for technical elements such as typographical and punctuation errors, misspellings (American English only). Additionally, editor will provide consistency checks - are you using page numbers correctly, margin sizing, headings/titles in consistent fonts, word and line spacing, indentation, etc. The editor may or may not offer any specific feedback or suggestions on the content, character development, or structure of your work.

This service is recommended for: complete manuscripts that have gone through initial phases of author edits.

General Timeline Required

• 20,000 words and below: 2-3 weeks
• 20,001 words and up: 4-5 weeks

• $0.0020/ word (example: 20,000 words = $40)

• You provide us with your complete manuscript in a Microsoft Word format.
• Editor will review your work by using Microsoft Word "track changes" function.
• You retain full control over your work and accept or reject each individual change suggested by the editor.
